Sunday School Questions – Topic: Future

TOLBC believes that growth in the Christian faith is a life-long endeavor and that one of the places it can happen best is in Sunday School class. Sunday school is important in the spiritual development of Christians. It is the only place in most churches that gives a systematic, comprehensive, complete coverage of the Word of God. Currently we are studying “Wisdom for Today’s Issues: A Topical Arrangement of the Proverbs” by Stephen Voorwinde. We invite you to join us.

“Wisdom For Today’s Issues.” Topic: Future

  1. Why is the future, for most people, always unsettling?
  2. Since the future is in God’s hand, how should we, as Christians, approach the future?
  3. In light of the imminent return of Jesus Christ, is it prudent to plan for the future?
  4. You have been invited to speak to some Wall Street executives on the topic “Grabbing the Future by the Horns.” Based on your biblical understanding of the future, prepare a three-point speech (that is, articulate three points.)
  5. In Matt. 6:34, the Lord Jesus Christ said, “Therefore, do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself . . .” What does that underlined phrase mean?
