- Research the biblical meaning of the word “discipline.” Why is discipline (God’s discipline and man’s discipline) important?
- Prov. 22:16 reads “foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, the rod of discipline will remove it far from him.” What is the difference between corporal punishment and child abuse.
- Is putting a child in “time out” a biblically valid form of discipline?
- Identify the two polarities of discipline and explain their corresponding results.
- Identify at least two examples of divine discipline in the Bible. Contemporarily, how can you know when a Christian/nation is experiencing God’s discipline?
