Wisdom For Today’s Issues Questions – Pgs. 15 & 16

TOLBC believes that growth in the Christian faith is a life-long endeavor and that one of the places it can happen best is in Sunday School class. Sunday school is important in the spiritual development of Christians. It is the only place in most churches that gives a systematic, comprehensive, complete coverage of the Word of God. Currently we are studying “Wisdom for Today’s Issues: A Topical Arrangement of the Proverbs” by Stephen Voorwinde. We invite you to join us.

Chapter 7: “Wisdom For Today’s Issues.” Topic: Education – Page 15 & 16

  1. Which education do you think is the most fundamental in life? (Explain your answer)
  2. Pro. 1:7; “The fear of the LORD is the begriming of knowledge . . .” How does the fear of the LORD leads to knowledge? Is knowledge and intellect synonymous? If yes, how? If no, why not?
  3. Devoid of biblical instruction, can a person still be successful in this life? (The word “successful” here is used in a holistic sense)
  4. What responsibility (if any) do we have to a person who willfully rejects biblical instruction? (The implication here is that the rejection has led to adverse consequences in the person’s life.)
  5. Given the opportunity, what advice would you give the presidential candidates about the efficacy of biblical instruction?
